PA-ers sail close to the wind at latest sailing regatta

Phil White senior manager and expert in the communications and electronic systems practice gives an update of the latest PA sailing regatta at Port Solent:

“This was a great regatta. Nine PA boats set off and everyone made it back, bonded and rejuvenated after two days' racing in the sun and the first decent wind that the PA trip has had for a long time. Our increased speed brought out even more competitiveness than usual, with some daringly aggressive but just-about legitimate moves to get past the racing marks first.”

“You could see office consulting styles translated to the water, with some crew members loving the adrenaline and others shutting their eyes and praying for a more collaborative, stakeholder-managed approach. “All skippers worked hard to make sure that novices and experienced crew had a great time, mixing physical challenge and new learning with plenty of time to sit in the sun chatting and gazing at other regattas unfurling huge coloured spinnakers.”
