Jet fuel attracts private investors

norma zuniga and Azucena Vazquez I reforma | 18 september 2017

Santiago Barcon, energy expert at PA Consulting Group, is quoted in a Reforma special report on NAICM, the new Mexico City International Airport. He discusses investment opportunities, a public-private partnership for jet fuel, and plans to double jet fuel capacity.

Discussing the new airport and investment opportunities, Santiago says: "There will be a very good competition that will benefit the cost. The airlines depend on jet fuel, it is their number one input.”

He adds: "In the end, it also gives a lot of peace of mind to have different suppliers. Before they depended on only one, now they have greater capacity for negotiation and flexibility for each case.”
