Tariq Al Beshtawi has joined PA Consulting Group Middle East and North Africa as a government sector services expert, as part of PA’s ongoing expansion within the region.
The latest top level appointment in an aggressive recruitment drive implemented at the beginning of the year, Al Beshtawi will drive the development of government services work across the region, capitalising on his experience within the Middle East public sector, including the lead advisory role on a multi-million education & government transformation programmes in the region.
Joining PA from Deloitte, Al Beshtawi worked in many strategic advisory positions in the Middle East. Previously, he worked with the Minister of Information and Communication Technology in Qatar as an adviser and director of the Digital Government Strategy Management Office leading digital government strategy alignment and implementation in the state of Qatar.
He also led key strategic initiatives in the GCC such as the eHealth strategy execution in Saudi Arabia, government service delivery transformation in the UAE and education transformation initiatives in the UAE.

Al Beshtawi is finalising his Doctorate degree in Business Administration, with a specialisation in Strategy, Innovation and Technology Management; he holds a Master degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems.
His GCC client portfolio includes top level projects with the Abu Dhabi Municipality, Abu Dhabi Education Council, the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology in Qatar, the Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia and the Prime Minister in the UAE.
Harborow added: “This year has seen us bring 20 new members of staff into the regional team, some of which are senior appointments such as Tariq and his colleague Andrew Ford who joined us in February.
