For the second year running, PA Consulting Group has been awarded TSA’s Crystal Award for running the Argenti Telecare Partnership – the assistive telecare partnership with Hampshire County Council to manage the care needs of its ageing population. PA is the only organisation to have won this award twice and this is the third national industry award won by PA for Argenti in the last eleven months.
The Crystal Award recognises excellence in the role TSA members play in actively creating joined up solutions for Technology Enabled Care Services (TECS) and is a hallmark of quality, attracting recognition from the whole TECS community.
The outcomes delivered by PA through the Argenti partnership include supporting Hampshire County Council to make £4.7m of net savings in the first three years; receiving over 100 referrals each week; the service being recommended by 98% of users and 6,500 service users now living more independent lives at home. These key results along with the positive feedback received from service users, carers and professionals led to the judges unanimously choosing PA as the winners for the award.
David Rees, head of local government services, PA Consulting Group, said: “Argenti is a unique partnership. Our ability to deliver and show evidence of real social and significant financial outcomes is something that no other provider or service in this field has been able to do. Winning the Crystal Award for the second year running is an amazing achievement and a reflection of PA’s commitment to the sector and to making a difference to people’s quality of life”.
Alyson Scurfield, Chief Executive, TSA, said: “We were delighted to present the TSA Crystal Award which recognises excellence in Technology Enabled Care Services (TECS) in the UK to PA Consulting Group for the second year. The Argenti partnership was ranked very highly by our judges for connecting care, homes and communities using TECS in the UK.”
Councillor Liz Fairhurst, Hampshire County Council's Executive Member for Adult Social Care said: “Telecare can, and is having a huge impact on people's lives by helping people manage their health and wellbeing, as well as assisting lonely or isolated people connect with their communities. This award shows that our county's telecare service, delivered via the PA led Argenti Partnership, is helping to support service users and deliver positive outcomes, while being as cost effective as possible, and leading the way in the development of telecare. I am delighted that this has once again been recognised nationally.
“As the world of technology moves rapidly forward, we want to ensure that in Hampshire, we are embracing the significant opportunities that it brings, to support people to live as independently as possible, for as long as possible. ”
In the last eleven months, the PA led Argenti partnership has also been awarded the 2015 Crystal Award and the Local Government Chronicle Award for ‘efficiency through technology’.
