More than 100 delegates gathered at the historical Carlsberg buildings in Copenhagen on Thursday 22 October for the inaugural Public Service Awards 2015.
The awards, which celebrate organisations that deliver world-class services in the Danish public sector, have been created in collaboration between PA Consulting Group, Wilke A/S and SAS Institute with the aim to create strong and efficient service in the public sector.
Organisations were rated on the services they provide to citizens and companies based on their digital and telephone services, and organisational maturity. All participating organisations received an individual review, as well as a benchmark report, that revealed how citizens rate their services and how they could improve.
The overall winner was the Danish Business Authority for its easy-to-use business portal – Virk.dk. The authority earned top honours for its digital self-service solutions and customer-focused telephone service. The Danish Meteorological Institute won the category of ‘Best Telephone Service’, Vejen’s local authority took home the prize in ‘Best Digital Service’, and ATP scooped ‘Best Service Organisation’. We look forward to hosting the awards again in 2016.
