DSV Road, a division of the leading freight forwarder, DSV, wanted to implement a new IT system to support increased collaboration across its business units and underpin future growth. This was to be the division’s largest IT project ever. However, DSV’s existing overall business model was under pressure as a result of a number of cross-border initiatives and, without a clear picture of its own future business model, DSV Road was unable to define its future IT system.
As a result, Søren Schmidt, COO, DSV Road asked PA to help determine what the division’s future business model should look like. We drew on our consultants’ industry insight and our methodology for strategy development to devise and facilitate a series of workshops. These helped DSV Road's top management team develop a common understanding of the future business strategy and the business model into which key strategic initiatives would have to fit.
PA’s work gave DSV Road the strategic insight it needed to progress its IT replacement programme and develop an IT system capable of supporting the division’s ambitions for growth.
