Supporting RSA’s assimilation of Al Ahlia, Oman’s largest insurer

RSA is a leading multinational insurance group, with over 17 million customers in 140 countries and annual revenues of £8.8 billion. To claim a greater share of Oman’s growing insurance market, RSA recently acquired the country’s largest insurance provider, Al Ahlia.
PA was approached to support the merger of the two businesses, which involved consolidating vast amounts of customer data, migrating complex processes and IT systems, and uniting the workforce in a new office space. Crucially, we provided assurance that the Omani business was complying with global regulatory standards – which, if not followed, could result in huge fines for RSA.
Our team of business transformation, financial services and IT experts worked closely with staff to overcome challenges around cultural differences. We ingrained ways of working and set shared ambitions for the future of RSA Oman. Drawing on the strengths of both businesses, our work has ensured that RSA’s robust processes and global systems are integrated across Al Ahlia’s large and well-respected branch network, putting the business in the best position to realise exceptional results.
