Job description

  • Flexible working - We are guided by our client work and needs; however, you have autonomy to manage your time and diary to suit your work/life balance.
  • This role is a mix of working from home and onsite in Winchester 2 days per week.
  • Some on site visits around Hampshire and to Kingston (Southwest London) will be needed from time to time and at short notice
  • Occasional travel to PA’s London office in Victoria.

It collaborates with Councils across the country to deliver an innovative approach to care technology services, also known as TECS or telecare. Through its strategic partnerships with Councils, Argenti helps people of all ages live safer, more independent, gloriously ordinary lives in the place they call home.

We are looking for an exceptional Operations Service Manager to become an integral part of the PA Consulting-led Argenti care technology partnership. This position presents an excellent opportunity for a seasoned manager driven to think outside the box and innovate in care technology.

This role is ideal for those passionate about making a significant impact in the lives of others improving the outcomes and quality of life for vulnerable service users across all age groups.

Reports to: Service Director

With responsibilities across two of our Argenti services, you will have opportunity to:

  • Service management: Oversee the management of a successful operational service in Hampshire and Kingston. This includes managing referrals for the service, managing and coordinating partner organisations, driving continuous improvement through the service, meeting operational KPIs.
  • Team leadership: Manage the joint Hampshire and Kingston service delivery team, including two roles seconded from Hampshire County Council.
  • Risk management: Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to address issues related to privacy, security, and usability. 
  • Performance reporting: Collaborate with the Argenti Finance and Performance Manager to ensure the accuracy of all detailed service performance reports for internal and client use
  • Operational data analysis: Conduct data analysis to identify trends, areas for improvement, and the impact of interventions or changes in the service.
  • Stakeholder liaison: Lead operational engagement with service user groups
  • Quality Assurance: Direct the delivery of the Quality Assurance Programme, ensuring it meets and exceeds the contractual and regulatory (i.e.,TSA) standards.
  • Service development: Manage assigned projects from initiation to completion and ensuring they align with strategic objectives.
  • Service Review: Lead the team on our work to review cases and correspond with service user groups.
  • Team collaboration: To work closely with both the Development & Engagement Manager and Transformation Manager to support the continuous progression and development of an innovative approach to care technology across both services. 

 


Qualifications

  • A seasoned manager with experience in managing care technology, social care, and health services.
  • Proven managerial experience with the ability to inspire others and work effectively in a complex team with diverse stakeholders. Proven ability to manage a remote team with different working styles.
  • A passion for working in Adult Social Care and supporting people to live better lives.
  • A good understanding of the outcomes of care technology
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage independently with clients and produce high-quality and well-structured reports and documents
  • Strong organisational skills, with a focus on project management and attention to detail
  • Located in, or happy to commute to Winchester once or twice a week, with occasional travel to Kingston (Southwest London)
  • Have an excellent understanding of social care users and their needs.
