Job description

This role is a 12-month fixed term contract

Flexible working – minimum of 2 days in the office with 3 days working from home. We are guided by our client work and needs; however, you have autonomy to manage your time and diary to suit your work/life balance.

The Procurement Assistant is required to work closely with a variety of teams and individuals within PA and will be the link between the supply of goods/services and the business to ensure the highest quality of services and level of compliance is met. The role needs to deliver concise communications and accurate administration as they will be liaising with PA’s internal stakeholders and suppliers on a global scale.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assess new suppliers globally to ensure they meet PA’s standard assessment criteria and legislative requirement. This includes contacting and working with new suppliers if additional information is required.
  • Entering and maintaining existing supplier information into PA’s purchase to pay (P2P) system.
  • Supporting procurement users globally by educating them on the procurement process and how to use P2P.
  • Supporting the global purchasing card policy ensuring that compliance is met.

In addition, this role will also cover:

  • The requirements of PA’s P-Card programme by raising limit card limits and blocking/unblocking merchant categories with the bank
  • Provide cover for the Corporate Amex scheme processing new applications, cancelling cards, and resolving end user queries.
  • Collating and creating spend analysis reports on spend.
  • Supporting the Global Procurement inbox on general queries

You will have opportunity to:

  • Reporting compliance against procurement policy
  • Communication to drive the procurement message home to internal customers around process and policy.
  • Learn news systems, policies, processes.

Qualifications

About you

  • Minimum of 2 years administrative experience within a purchasing environment
  • The gravitas to communicate and influence at various levels of an organisation
  • Working within a fast paced environment
  • The desire to learn and develop skills within a Procurement environment.
