Digital health expert Vignesh Ramesh has joined PA Consulting (PA), the consultancy that’s bringing ingenuity to life, as a partner in PA’s health and life sciences practice. He will work with US health and life sciences firms to develop innovative business models for technology-enabled and data-supported healthcare solutions, ultimately growing PA’s digital practice.
Vignesh has over 15 years of consulting and industry experience serving life science, payer, provider and digital health clients with a focus on product development, commercial transformation and operational improvement. More recently, Vignesh has focused on addressing issues specific to digital health and has been successful in partnering with digital health companies to design and launch disruptive technology enabled healthcare products and solutions within the changing healthcare landscape.
Vignesh joins PA from IQVIA Consulting where he was a Partner. He previously spent 10 years at PwC and Deloitte working with clients across the healthcare value chain (R&D, Clinical, Commercial, Operations, IT and Compliance). Prior to consulting, Vignesh was part of Amgen’s oncology clinical team. Vignesh earned his Masters in Medical Devices and Diagnostic Engineering from University of Southern California, has studied health innovation policy at University of Pennsylvania, and holds a BS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
Clients hire PA to boost productivity by transforming services, integrate different parts of care systems to make services more efficient and easier to navigate, translate regulatory guidelines into reality, and put patients at the center of care. PA recently worked with the American Academy of Pediatrics to build a national pediatric data registry to improve children’s health, supported Healthfirst as they provided millions of New Yorkers with health insurance enrollment information during the COVID-19 pandemic, accelerated urgent health studies with digital innovation for the National Institute for Health Research, and revolutionized cell and gene therapy for Ori Biotech. Last year as COVID-19 strained hospitals, PA answered the call of the UK Government’s Ventilator Challenge Program and led one of the largest mobilizations of innovation, science and engineering to develop ventilators for everyone who needed one.
George Botsakos, Global Lead for Health and Life Sciences at PA Consulting, said: “We are very excited to welcome Vignesh to the team. His unique background will be immensely beneficial for our US clients. He will work with health and life sciences companies to design, launch and commercialize patient-focused digital health solutions, and leverage PA’s end-to-end capabilities to deliver digital transformations using digital technologies such as robotic process automation, natural language processing and artificial intelligence/machine learning.”
Vignesh Ramesh, digital health expert at PA Consulting, said: “I am excited to join PA and help expand its footprint within the US healthcare and pharma industries. The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the need for health and life sciences companies to leverage digital offerings, transform core operations, and deploy patient and provider-centric solutions. PA’s product development expertise and technical skill means that PA is in prime position to partner with US companies and fuel digital transformations.”
