At the UK Department for Transport, Michael created and led the UK’s national programmes on low carbon transport, electromobility, and autonomous vehicles.
Michael joins PA from Arrival, an electric vehicle and technology company focused on sustainable manufacturing and zero-emission solutions for cities, where he led the vehicle cycle planning process. Prior to this, Michael was the Director of Transport Innovation at Transport for London, where he led future mobility policy and operations, and work on resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic. Michael is also a Fellow at LocalGlobe venture capital, where he provides support and advice to some of Europe’s most exciting technology companies.

Michael says: “The need for ingenuity and innovation has never been more pressing as we look to a sustainable future for energy and mobility. I look forward to joining the team at PA to become the go-to advisor for clients who are looking to successfully navigate the critical convergence of sectors; enabling mobility and energy businesses, their customers and places where they operate, to all play their part in building a resilient, greener world for the next generation.”
PA’s Future Mobility experts work with businesses to anticipate the future, champion innovation, and lead the energy transition and future of mobility to unlock new potential. As part of the UK government’s ‘greenprint’ for building a net zero transport system by 2050, PA teamed up with the Royal College of Art to design a chargepoint for the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles that will help accelerate the adoption of zero-emission road transport. From leading the transformation to green energy with Ørsted, Denmark’s largest energy producer, to accelerating electric bus deployment with AMP Capital to reduce carbon emissions in Latin America, PA’s experts provide critical support and advice amid global uncertainty and change in order to preserve valuable resources and enhance environmental outcomes for societies around the world.
