In an article in IT Watch about the Digital Tech Summit, experts highlighted the importance of balancing AI’s potential with its responsible and ethical use.

Mads Bjørn-Møldrup, PA AI and data expert, discussed the increasing role of AI, stating,

“Since 2023, most client conversations have involved AI in some form.”

He noted that there is a competitive race to develop larger, data-intensive models, admitting, “Some of these AI models have become so complex that no one fully understands what’s happening inside them.”

Bjørn-Møldrup warned about the problems with AI reliability:

“An AI response in ChatGPT may seem incredibly convincing but is often both vague and even incorrect.”

This, he argued, underscores the need to apply ethical considerations and transparency to AI’s evolution.

“We started with immense AI hype, but now there’s a growing focus on where real value can be created, rather than viewing AI as a solution to everything.”

He explained that this shift in focus is redefining job roles and demands algorithmic transparency:

“Since humans use this technology, it’s essential it reflects human values and fairness in its responses.” He further emphasised that, unlike traditional software, AI requires constant adjustment to stay on track.

Jesper Bjerre, COO of Danica Pension, supported the need for careful AI investment, particularly within health insurance. Managing around 100,000 health cases annually, Bjerre believes AI can improve diagnostic precision and enable personalised treatment, helping to shorten recovery times, lower costs, and increase customer satisfaction.
