Melanie Turieo joins PA Consulting to lead Global…

Product development expert Melanie Turieo has joined PA Consulting (PA), the consultancy that’s bringing ingenuity to life, as a partner. Melanie will also serve as PA’s Head of Health & Life Sciences Product Development, a new role that will bring award-winning design and end-to-end multidisciplinary product development offerings to PA’s pharma, biotech, medtech, and healthcare clients.

Melanie has been in product development consulting for over 25 years, focusing on the design and development of regulated and safety-critical items, including medical, military and consumer products. In the last 15 years she has focused exclusively on regulated medical device development. Most recently, Melanie was Senior Vice President at Cambridge Consultants and head of the US Medical Technology business. She has led technical teams through concept to launch development for pharma and medical device clients for applications ranging from home-use combination products to surgical tools and systems.

Melanie has a degree in Human Factors Engineering from Tufts University and has extensive experience advising clients on the regulatory requirements around human factors and usability engineering and use-related risk management. She also serves on the Industry Advisory Council for Tufts’ Human Factors Engineering program.
