PA’s Wei Du, energy expert, is quoted in the New York Times following Hurricane Beryl’s impact to Texas’ power outages expected to last for a number of days.

Wei comments on the need for US utilities to invest in resiliency improvement programmes.

Wei explains: “For a Category 1 hurricane to result in over a million customer outages in its immediate aftermath demonstrates that there is plenty of need for the resiliency hardening investments.”
