PA Consulting welcomes Amanda Kelly as a partner in Public Services
Amanda Kelly joins PA Consulting (PA), the consultancy that’s bringing ingenuity to life, as a partner in PA’s public services team. Amanda will provide additional leadership to key accounts within PA, focusing on expanding its footprint in the North of England, where she is based. She will also lead the development of a national children’s services proposition, to lead on how PA can respond to the complexity and scale of challenges facing clients, post COVID-19 and Brexit.
With over 25 years of consulting experience, predominately working across the public sector, including central government, local government and the NHS, Amanda operates at the very highest levels within organisations and has substantial board-level experience, including as a Non-Executive Director for one of the largest care providers in the North West and as an Executive Director on the board of IMPOWER Consulting.
Most recently, Amanda was a partner at New Networks Ltd, which she co-founded in 2010 and joined full time in 2018. During her time there, Amanda has continued to provide senior strategic support to a range of public sector organisations, including being appointed strategic advisor to the Government of Jersey’s Change for Children transformation programme.
This is an ambitious programme for children’s services in Jersey, aimed at making it the best place for children to grow. Amanda played an integral role in establishing the strategic direction of the programme and supporting the senior leadership team to deliver improvements to the service, including the establishment of an early help service and delivery of Jersey’s first care leavers and children in care offer.
PA’s Public Services experts combine problem solving excellence with insights from across the public sector and private industry. They work closely with government departments, local leaders and policing and borders organisations to create a better living and working environment for citizens. From achieving the impossible with the UK Ventilator Challenge, to helping vulnerable people stay independent during the COVID-19 outbreak with Argenti, an innovative approach to technology-enabled care, our experts provide support and advice amid global uncertainty and change to make resources go further and improve lives.
Mark Brett, Head of Public Services at PA, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Amanda to PA’s Public Services team. Amanda brings over 25 years of consulting experience and will focus on building our successful track record with clients across public services. Amanda’s skills and expertise in leading large-scale transformation and operational design projects will allow us to continue to grow our capabilities across public sector organisations.”
Amanda added: “I am delighted to be joining PA Consulting at a time when the challenges facing the public sector require an extraordinary response.
“I am impressed by the ‘can do’ attitude prevalent throughout PA and the shared ambition we have to deliver improvements to peoples lives. We are at a tipping point in both adults and children’s services, with increasing demand and reducing budgets, and have an opportunity post COVID-19 to do something different. I am excited to work with PA to support these sectors to deliver better futures for all.”
