PA Consulting welcomes Hilary Thomas as a partner in Healthcare and Life Sciences

Hilary Thomas joins PA Consulting (PA), the consultancy that’s bringing ingenuity to life, as a partner in PA’s Healthcare and Life Sciences practice and Applied Sciences capability. Hilary will apply her extensive medical experience to support PA’s clients at all stages of the Life Sciences value chain. Her expertise will help shape thinking across a number of areas of Digital Health, Decentralised Trials, and Product Innovation.
Hilary joins PA from KPMG, where she was Chief Medical Adviser and worked globally in the Life Sciences team. Hilary worked first in KPMG’s Healthcare practice, before transitioning to the Life Sciences practice as a Partner in 2013, having identified the opportunity to build strategy capability in this market.
Hilary started her career as a Senior Lecturer at Hammersmith Hospital before becoming Professor of Oncology at University of Surrey, and then Medical Director of The Royal Surrey County Hospital. Hilary has used her background as an academic and clinical triallist in the development of new therapies to focus on patient centricity and the quality of patient care. During her career, she has helped to redesign care pathways, develop more meaningful outcome measures for patients and enable clients to be more patient centric.

Our experts in biotech, pharma, healthcare and medical technologies work with businesses from discovery and research, to marketing and sales. PA has developed innovative search functionality for The National Institute for Health Research’s digital platform, worked with Ori Biotech to enable patient access to cell and gene therapies, and worked with Sure Chill to harness its cooling technology to develop a portable and sustainable cooler that can transport lifesaving supplies to the most remote parts of the world.
