Amy Marshall joins PA Consulting (PA), the consultancy that’s bringing ingenuity to life, as a partner in PA’s Energy and Utilities practice. Amy has an extensive background in the smart energy and retail market, and will focus on providing growth strategy and transaction support to clients, with a particular focus on the consumer end of the value chain, energy consumer technology, distributed energy, behind the meter and energy retail, as these elements come to the fore in the energy transition, and wider climate response.
Amy joins PA from KPMG where she was most recently the co-head of their Energy Deal Strategy team, focused on strategy projects and transactions across the energy value chain. Prior to this, Amy worked in technology and communications at Marconi and Cable & Wireless (now Vodafone), transitioning to the energy sector as smart meters began the trend of convergence of energy and technology.
Aris Karcanias, Global Head of Energy and Utilities at PA Consulting, said: “I am delighted to welcome Amy to the Energy and Utilities team. Her breadth and depth of experience within the sector, especially in the smart energy and retail markets, will be invaluable in strengthening our commitment to delivering the best outcomes for our clients. Our clients will need support in both navigating the acute pressures present in energy retail, and in maximising the opportunities that arise from fast-maturing energy technology. Amy will be at the forefront of our work with clients at the consumer-end of the value chain as they define the growth strategies and business change demanded by the energy transition, and wider climate response. Her arrival is the start of what is going to be another exciting year for the Energy and Utilities practice.”
Amy added: “PA’s reputation for innovation and ingenuity has long been clear in the energy space and I see joining the team as a chance to help support clients adapt and innovate as they look to do their part in addressing the climate crisis. I am excited by the opportunity to expand PA’s offering and expertise in smart energy, energy retail, and energy technology and look forward to building out the team and service lines to drive consumer-oriented solutions.”
