Andy Goodman rejoins PA Consulting to bring Service Design offering to US clients

Andy Goodman has rejoined PA Consulting (PA), the consultancy that’s bringing ingenuity to life, as a Partner. Andy is an expert in managing and overseeing large complex design accounts and will bring Service Design thinking to PA’s US health and life sciences, energy and utilities, and consumer and manufacturing clients.
Andy is a pioneer of Service Design, a methodology which addresses the experiences of both the user and employee to enable organizations to better meet their customers’ needs. Andy originally joined PA over 20 years ago, as part of the New Media Group in London. After an early career in web design, Interactive TV and games, he moved to design consulting and worked for many years at Fjord, the design and innovation firm that’s now part of Accenture. He was previously at Seren, the customer experience firm, which is now part of EY, BCG Digital Ventures and frog.
PA is the only consulting firm with end-to-end innovation expertise. PA designs and develops world-leading innovations such as Ori Biotech’s platform technology to revolutionize cell and gene therapy manufacturing, a universally designed line of award-winning beauty tools for Guide Beauty, and the Clinician Matching Network which improves COVID-19 patient care by matching doctors to hospitals. Last year as COVID-19 strained hospitals, PA answered the call of the UK Government’s Ventilator Challenge Program and led one of the largest mobilizations of innovation, science and engineering to develop ventilators for everyone who needed one.
PA and its family of award-winning design studios build and design amazing innovations. For example, Boston-based Essential Design and Cooper Perkins, a world-class technology development and engineering practice, co-developed the Hydrow, an interactive rowing machine which was named one of the Best Inventions of 2020 by Time magazine. Astro Studios in San Francisco works with flagship clients in the consumer, technology, and healthcare sectors, including P&G, Nike, Bose, Facebook, Colgate and HP. Astro have developed market defining consumer tech products, including the Nike Fuelband, Microsoft’s Xbox 360, and the Astro Gaming headsets.
Peter Skarzynski, Head of Americas at PA Consulting, says: “We are excited to welcome Andy back to PA Consulting. His experience working at the intersection between design and consulting gives him a great platform to build on at PA and will advance the firm’s design-led and influenced offerings.”
Andy Goodman, service design expert at PA Consulting, says: "I am thrilled to return PA at this exciting time – especially now that Essential Design, Astro Studios, and Cooper Perkins are part of our firm. I look forward to showing our clients how design can produce tangible business impact and value creation.”
