In the defence and security arena, rapid technological and societal change make it hard to grasp fully just how different the future might look. Working with the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl), the science arm of the Ministry of Defence (MOD), we applied a mix of technology, commercial and programme management expertise to lead the development of an ingenious virtual reality platform.
